Individual & Couples Emotionally Focused Therapy
Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado & Missouri
Certified Individual & Couples Emotionally Focused Therapist
Emotionally Focused Therapy Supervisor Candidate
I deeply care about my clients and am passionate about working with Emotionally Focused Therapy to help repair relationships and rebuild a more positive sense of self. I want to give you space to talk about your pain, joys, and relationship experiences so we can make sense of them together to bring about real and lasting change. I'm on your team, advocating for you, fighting for your relationship, experiencing what you feel, with you in therapy every step of the way.
We all desire to be seen and understood, to be believed in and not criticized; these are good longings, and they drive how we work in EFT. You will never hear me call you out or ask, "Why did you do that?" Instead, I'll help you find the very good reasons you make the moves you make in your relationships. We cope through protection when we feel hurt or unheard, and our action tendencies are just paths we take to get our messages across. I'll help you find a clearer and more vulnerable (i.e., connecting) way to be heard and to listen to the ones you love.
I am interested in hearing about and understanding your uniquely held identities, cultural background, and beliefs. This includes how your identities intersect and have shaped your lived experience of challenge, pain, and/or discrimination. I humbly desire to incorporate these important aspects of self into our work together. If you are a person who practices faith, we can fold your beliefs into our work as well. Our time together will be shaped by who you are, what you bring, and what you need.
I am excited to hear your extraordinary story and honored to spend time with you.
Individual counseling provides an opportunity to explore the interpersonal and intrapersonal patterns you experience. This process can help you work through forgiveness and find peace from past wounds, as well as improve the quality of your current relationships. Emotionally Focused Therapy is an effective approach for healing, relieving emotional distress, and discovering greater joy in your connection with yourself and others.
Couples many times find themselves out of sync and frustrated by their inability to connect with one another. Whether it’s handing recurring small disagreements or navigating challenges like grief and infidelity, Emotionally Focused Therapy offers a proven, science-based approach to reestablish safety. We can work together to help explain the underlying thoughts, feelings, and distress you’re experiencing in a way that your partner can finally hear and understand.
I'm a Certified Emotionally Focused Individual & Couples Therapist, and Supervisor Candidate through the International Centre for Excellence in EFT (ICEEFT). Since 2022, I‘ve served as a Core Skills and Externship small group facilitator under Elana Katz and George Faller, and have also assisted Dr. James Hawkins, Robin Williams Blake, and Dr. Zoya Simakhodskaya. I love walking alongside other therapists for mutual learning and encouragement, and I'd be honored to help hone EFT and Self of Therapist skills to take your practice to the next level.
**Note: As an EFT Supervisor Candidate,
I provide supervision that counts towards the 8-hour Certification Supervision requirement.
